Michael Horsham began working with Tomato collective in 1994 on a freelance basis and joined full time in 1996. Prior to this Michael had written extensively on architecture and design for a number of publications including national newspapers in the UK, (The Guardian, The Independent, The Financial Times, Arena, FX, Frieze) and had worked for the BBC on films about design and designers. He is also a musician and image maker. It was this work with the BBC that led him to the then newly-formed Tomato. Tomato’s ethos of continuous experimentation, conversation and invention led to Michael gaining his experience in the conception, design, execution and delivery of communication, corporate identities, television commercials, art installations, publications, films, music and other projects. His multi-disciplinary approach has helped him maintain a varied career and portfolio over 25+ years, Tomato continues as an association of creative professionals and Michael continues to work as an independent design, communication and education consultant.
