Women Artists Social Media Prize Draw | Terms & Conditions

Eligibility

1.     No purchase is necessary.

2.     This prize draw is open to all United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) residents aged 18 and over. Parents/guardians must submit the entry for those under the age of 18.

3.     To be eligible, entries must be received between 12:00pm 13 November 2020 and 12:00pm 16 November 2020 (‘the Closing Date’). No entry received after this time will be considered.

Entry Requirements

4.     To enter the prize draw, each entrant must, between 13 November 2020 and the Closing Date:

• Have or sign up for an Instagram account;
• Follow the Thames & Hudson Instagram account (https://www.instagram.com/thamesandhudson) and The Great Women Artists Instagram account (https://www.instagram.com/thegreatwomenartists)
• Comment on the prize draw post on Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/p/CHh91MkA4lq/) indicating which prize bundle they would most like to win (“Modernist Giants”, “Women in Britain” or “Essential Reading”)

5.      Entrants may comment more than once on the prize draw post, and each comment shall qualify as a valid entry. Entries must not be submitted through agents or third parties.

6.      Incomplete, mis-directed or late entries will not be accepted.  Thames & Hudson takes no responsibility for entries delayed, incomplete or lost due to technical reasons or otherwise.

7.      The entrant’s comment on the prize draw post must be visible until at least 7 days after the Closing Date.

8.      Thames & Hudson reserves the right to disqualify any entry that may be deemed inappropriate, offensive, discriminatory, defamatory or an infringement of intellectual property or personal rights.

9.      Entrants must ensure that the Instagram account they have used to enter is active and valid, and that they are contactable via direct messaging on that account for the entire promotional period and for at least 7 days after the Closing Date. This may entail adjusting privacy settings.

10.   Entrants must ensure their comment is visible to be entered into the prize draw. This may also entail adjusting privacy settings.

Prize and Fulfilment

11.    The three available prizes are three bundles of books. The first prize bundle is comprised of “LEE KRASNER” by Eleanor Nairne, “YAYOI KUSAMA” by Yayoi Kusama and Akira Shibutami and “AGNES MARTIN” by Nancy Princenthal. The second prize bundle is comprised of “WOMEN, ART AND SOCIETY” by Whitney Chadwick, “WOMEN ARTISTS: THE LINDA NOCHLIN READER” by Maura Reilly and “SEEING OURSELVES” by Frances Borzello. The third prize bundle is comprised of “BRIDGET RILEY: THE COMPLETE PRINTS” by Bridget Riley, Craig Hartley, Lynn MacRitchie, Robert Kudielka, Alexandra Tommasini, and Rosa Gubay, “PAULA REGO” by Deryn Rees-Jones and Marina Warner, and “VOYAGING OUT” by Carolyn Trant. (‘the Prize’) There will be 3 winners who will each receive one prize bundle only.

12.   The winners of the Prize will be chosen at random from all complete and eligible entries within 7 days after the Closing Date. Thames & Hudson’s decision is final. Thames & Hudson will not enter into correspondence regarding the choice of winners.

13.   The winners will be notified via a direct message on Instagram and asked to confirm the postal address to which they would like the Prize delivered. Entrants who have not won the Prize will not receive notification that they have not won.

14.   If the winner chooses not to or is not able, for any reason, to accept the Prize or cannot be contacted within 72 hours of notification that they have won, Thames & Hudson reserves the right to award the relevant prize to an alternative entrant who shall be selected at random from all complete and eligible entries.

15.   The Prize cannot be transferred. There is no cash or other alternative for the Prize.

16.   Thames & Hudson reserves the right to vary the selection of books in the Prize at its sole discretion, subject to availability.
Other

17.    Thames & Hudson reserves the right to terminate or withdraw this prize draw at any time.

18.   Thames & Hudson shall have the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to change or modify these terms and conditions, such change shall be effective immediately upon posting to this webpage.

19.   This prize draw is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Instagram.

20.  In accordance with the Data Protection Act, 1998, Thames & Hudson will hold the personal data supplied by the winners securely. It will only be used in the process of administering the prize draw, and will not be transferred to any third party.

21.   Employees and freelancers working for Thames & Hudson and their families are not eligible to enter the draw.

22.   By entering this prize draw, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
