Monthly Children’s Craft Competition Terms & Conditions
Eligibility
1. No purchase is necessary.
2. This Competition is open to all United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) residents aged 18 and over. Parents/guardians must submit the entry for those under the age of 18.
3. To be eligible, entries must be received between 12:00am on 1 February 2021 (“the Starting Date”) and 11:59pm on 31 February 2021 (“the Closing Date”). No entry received after the Closing Date will be considered.
Entry Instructions
4. To enter the Competition, entrants must, between the Starting Date and Closing Date:
5. Entrants may enter the competition more than once as long as they have created a new qualifying Craft and submitted photos on social media in accordance with paragraph 4 above. Multiple photographs of the same Craft shall not be counted as separate entries. Entries must not be submitted through agents or third parties except where being submitted by a parent or guardian.
6. Incomplete, mis-directed, fraudulent or late entries will not be accepted. Thames & Hudson takes no responsibility for entries delayed, incomplete or lost due to technical reasons or otherwise.
7. Thames & Hudson reserves the right to disqualify any entry that may be deemed inappropriate, offensive, discriminatory, defamatory or an infringement of intellectual property or personal rights.
8. Entrants must ensure that the Twitter or Instagram account they have used to enter is active and valid, and that they are contactable via direct messaging on that account for the entire promotional period and for at least 7 days after the Closing Date. This may entail adjusting privacy settings.
9. The entrant’s post on social media must be visible until at least 7 days after the Closing date.
Prize and Fulfilment
10. The prize is one copy of the book POP-UP EARTH by Anne Jankéliowitch, Annabelle Buxton and Olivier Charbonnel (‘the Prize’). There will be one winner of the Prize who will receive one Prize only.
11. A panel of judges from Thames & Hudson’s marketing department will consider all competition entries and will select 1 winner of the Prize from the valid entries. Thames & Hudson’s decision is final. Thames & Hudson will not enter into correspondence regarding the choice of winner.
12. The winner of the Prize will be notified via a direct message on the platform they used to enter the Competition (Instagram or Twitter) and asked to confirm the postal address to which they would like the Prize delivered. Entrants who have not won the Prize will not receive notification that they have not won.
13. If the winner chooses not to, or is not able for any reason, to accept the Prize or cannot be contacted within 72 hours of notification that they have won, Thames & Hudson reserves the right to award the Prize to an alternative entrant who shall be selected by the panel of judges from all complete and eligible entries.
14. The Prize cannot be transferred. There is no cash or other alternative for the Prize.
15. Thames & Hudson reserves the right to vary the Prize at its sole discretion, subject to availability.
Competition Entries
16. By entering the Competition, you agree that Thames & Hudson may post the photos of your Craft on Thames & Hudson’s social media (including but not limited to Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest) and on the Thames & Hudson website. Specifically, you agree to grant to Thames & Hudson a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to publish your photographs of your Craft online for marketing purposes.
17. By entering the Competition, you hereby warrant to Thames & Hudson: that your Craft is your original work; that your Craft contains nothing that is any way an infringement of any existing third-party copyright, obscene, blasphemous or objectionable, defamatory, libellous or in violation of any personal right.
Other
18. Thames & Hudson reserves the right to modify, cancel, terminate or suspend the Competition in whole or in part, at its sole discretion.
19. Thames & Hudson shall have the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to change or modify these terms and conditions, such change shall be effective immediately upon posting to this webpage.
20. This Competition is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Instagram.
21. In accordance with the Data Protection Act, 1998, Thames & Hudson will collect and process the personal data supplied by entrants securely. It will only be used in the process of administering the Competition, and will not be transferred to any third party except where necessary for the Competition and for the Prize to be administered.
22. Employees and freelancers working for Thames & Hudson and their families are not eligible to enter the Competition.
23. By entering this Competition, an entrant is indicating their agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
