Terms & Conditions 

 

Eligibility 

1. No purchase is necessary.

2. This prize draw is open to residents of the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) only, aged 18 and over.

3. The prize draw opens on Thursday 13 February 2025.

4. To be eligible, entrants must follow Thames & Hudson and Japan House London (‘the Promoters’) on Instagram, like the relevant post and tag a friend in the comment before 27 February 2025 at 23:59 (‘the Closing Date’).

5. Entrants must fulfil the entry requirements before the Closing Date.

6. Entrants may only enter once.

7. The Promoters take no responsibility for any entries delayed, mis-directed, incomplete or lost due to technical reasons or otherwise. Entries made through agents, third parties, organised groups or any entry duplication method will not be accepted.

Offer and Fulfilment 

8. The winning three entrants will be eligible to receive a copy of Hokusai’s Method (9780500028773) selected by the Promoters (the ‘Prizes’).

9.The Prizes are non-negotiable, non-transferable and non-refundable. No cash alternative is available.

10. The Promoters reserve the right (but are not obliged) to substitute an alternative to the books in the Prizes which are of equal or greater value should they deem it necessary.

11. The winners of the Prizes will be selected at random by the Promoters from all complete and eligible entries.

12. The winners will be notified via direct message on Instagram by the Promoters no later than 28 February 2025. To receive their prize, winners are required to provide  the Promoters with their full name, UK address and phone number.

13. If a winner chooses not to or is not able, for any reason, to accept the Prizes or cannot be contacted within 3 days of notification that they have won, the Promoters reserve the right (but are not obliged) to award a prize to an alternative entrant who shall be selected at random from all complete and eligible entries.

14. Entrants who have not won a prize will not receive any notification.

15. A list of winners will be available upon written request to the Promoters at the address below.

Other 

16. The Promoters reserve the right to terminate or withdraw this prize draw at any time in the event of any unforeseen circumstances or technical reason outside its reasonable control, with no liability to any entrants or third parties but will use all reasonable endeavours to avoid consumer disappointment.

17.Thames & Hudson’s and Japan House London’s decision on all matters is final. No correspondence will be entered into other than that stated in clause 12 above.

18. Entries that do not comply in full with these terms and conditions will be disqualified.

19. The Promoters may amend these terms and conditions by posting changes to them on  https://thamesandhudson.com/.

20. Employees and freelancers, as well as family members of employees and freelancers, working for the Promoters are not eligible to enter.

22. Entry into this Prize Draw is at the entrant’s sole risk. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoters accept no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury, costs, expenses or claims (whether in contract, tort or otherwise) suffered by entrants or any third parties arising out of or in connection with the Prize Draw or Prizes. The Promoters further disclaim liability for any injury or damage to entrants or any other person relating to or resulting from participation with this  Prize Draw save that nothing in these terms and conditions shall act to limit or exclude the Promoters’ liability resulting from its negligence or fraud.

23. If for any reason, the Prize Draw is not capable of running as planned for reasons (including but not limited to tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoters which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Prize Draw), the Promoters reserve the right (subject to any written directions given under applicable law) to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Prize Draw.

24. If an act, omission, event or circumstance occurs which are beyond the reasonable control of the Promoters and which prevents the Promoters from complying with these terms and conditions the Promoters will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligation.

25. The Promoters accept no responsibility for system errors or other issues that may result in disruption to, lost, delayed or not received entries, winner notifications or prizes. The Promoters will not be responsible for the non-inclusion of entries as a result of technical failures or otherwise, including any such failure which is within the control of the Promoters.

26. If any of these clauses (or part of) should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable then it shall be severed and deleted from these Terms and Conditions and the remaining clauses (or part of) shall survive and remain in full force and effect.

27. The Prize Draw and these terms and conditions, and any disputes arising therefrom, shall be subject to English law and the exclusive jurisdiction of the English and Welsh Courts.

28. Data Protection: Any personal information that entrants share with the  Promoters will be kept secure and used in accordance with the Promoters’ privacy notices which are available at https://www.japanhouselondon.uk/company/privacy-policy/ and    https://thamesandhudson.com/page/privacy-policy.    Entrants acknowledge that their information may be used by Promoters to administer the promotion and that the Promoters may need to make available the winners’ last name and county for the winners’ list in accordance with the Committee of Advertising Practice Code.
