In this extract from a forthcoming film portrait, photographer Daniel Schwartz shoots in the Karakoram range in Pakistan, documenting the disappearance of glaciers around the world.
Daniel Schwartz is a Swiss photographer and author. He was the first foreigner to document all known sections of the Great Wall of China (The Great Wall of China, revised and expanded edition 2001). Between 1990 and 2005, Schwartz worked for the cultural magazine du and as a freelance photojournalist in numerous crisis zones. Schwartz has received many awards for his photography and has exhibited worldwide (including at the Rencontres Internationales de la Photographie in Arles, Fotomuseum Winterthur and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art).
