Celebrating our British Book of the Year Award for Export 2022

We are thrilled to have received the British Book of the Year Award for Export at this year’s Nibbies, at a ceremony held in Grosvenor House in London on 23rd May 2022.

In this hugely competitive category, our Export Sales team was praised for overcoming months of closures for bookshop, galleries and museums by focusing on e-retail and non-traditional channels, and making David Hockney’s Spring Cannot be Cancelled and our fashion titles in particular stand-out hits overseas.

The judges also brought attention to how well the team adjusted to the suspension of business travel and book fairs, and how it navigated the disruption to distribution by helping European retailers deal with new import bureaucracy, which has deepened loyalty to Thames & Hudson.

This was our first run at the Nibbies, with three entries shortlisted in the Export, Rights Team and Independent Publisher of the Year categories.
