Having started working on Savile Row as a 17-year-old apprentice, Richard Anderson worked his way up to head cutter at Huntsman, before founding Richard Anderson Ltd with Brian Lishak in 2001. In Making the Cut is a lively bible of sartorial knowhow full of insight, information and inspiration. It introduces the traditional craft of cutting a bespoke suit and garments, showcasing twenty-five classic menswear designs that have been creatively adapted in new and unusual ways for the modern gentleman. Much of the book is dedicated to showcasing the craft and dedication that goes in to creating a bespoke suit in the time-honoured tradition of Savile Row. The book is divided into five sections – Light Fare, Strong Suits, Atypical Tweeds, Top Coats and Regalia Redux – it’s a source of inspiration for anyone with an interest in menswear, traditional craftsmanship or just wants to look at some beautiful suits!
