Part of a generation of artists and creatives who are redefining modern ‘country living’, textile designer Helen David and photographer Matild Temperley discuss the challenges and benefits of combining work and home in a rural environment. They are joined by Chloe Grimshaw and Luke White, whose new publication Creative Living Country features 25 truly original houses across the UK from the East Anglian fens to the Cornish coast, from the hills of the Lake District to the moors of Scotland. Together they explore the importance of landscape for creative pioneers, and provide a glimpse into the the loss of 24/7 urban stimuli on modern entrepreneurs, from ceramicists to musicians. The talk is illustrated with inspirational images by Luke White, Helen David and Matilda Temperley.
Arranged to coincide with The World of Anna Sui exhibition, the event starts at 6pm with an opportunity to view the exhibition. The talk follows at 6.15pm for 6.20pm in the Fashion Studio and lasts for approximately one hour including an opportunity to ask questions.
