Emma Ridgway

Emma Ridgway is the Shane Akeroyd Associate Curator for the British Pavilion, 59th International Exhibition, La Biennale di Venezia 2022. She is Chief Curator and Head of Exhibitions and Learning at Modern Art Oxford where she has led the artistic programme since 2015. She has curated the first major UK solo exhibitions of artists Ruth Asawa, Lubaina Himid, Claudette Johnson, Samson Kambalu, Rose Finn-Kelcey, Hannah Ryggen, Penny Woolcock, and the paintings of Anish Kapoor. Previously Ridgway was a curator at the Barbican Centre, The Royal Society of Arts, Serpentine Gallery, London and Khoj International Artists Association, New Delhi.
